our mission

Creating positive minds through nutrition

What we eat influences both our physical and mental health. Food for Thought Nutrition focuses on supporting your health and well-being through functional nutrition and mindful eating.

We strive to educate and empower you to live a balanced and happy life. A life centred around eating to nourish our bodies and supporting our mental and physical well-being.

Our Philosophy

Eat more plants

With a passion for preventing and managing chronic disease, we emphasise the philosophy to 'eat more plants' due to the vital link between diet and numerous lifestyle diseases.

About

Changing our perspective on mental health.

Food for Thought Nutrition was founded in 2016 to share a new, science-backed philosophy of mental health. Nutritional psychiatry - improving mental health through food and dietary interventions.

Emerging findings from intervention studies suggest that diet (often combined with lifestyle) modification has potential in the prevention and treatment of mental health and may modify drug treatment effects.

We have been told that mental health is all in our heads. However, happiness can be influenced by food, mood and lifestyle factors. We are here to help each other live happier and healthier lives!

Testimonials

I have visited Emilee at Food for Thought Nutrition several times now. With a comprehensive understanding of nutrition and health, Emilee always has time to explain natural medicines and therapies in a way I can understand. I never knew my skin condition was diet and stress-related.
Plus she’s always got a new vegetarian recipe for me to try out... Healthy of course! ;)

I went to Emilee for advice on how to improve my diet and monitor my weight while still enjoying my favourite foods and keeping a social lifestyle. Emilee gave great personalised advice, was highly knowledgeable in all aspects of nutrition and was very friendly & lovely. I definitely recommend Food for Thought Nutrition to anyone looking to improve their health!!
